Why Don't You Leave?

For this project I created a website and social media pages for the Why Don't You Leave? Art Project. I connected with many women and collected all types of writings through email and direct message. For the first exhibition I chose five stories from contributors and created artworks inspired from them. Covering the floor are six foot tall signs displaying common social myths dealing with domestic violence, and hanging from the ceiling are myths victims often tell them selves. The exhibition was designed to overwhelm and connect the viewer with struggles of surviving domestic abuse.
